A little bit about myself...
Lex Wildman is an emerging ceramicist and sculptor who lives and works in Sydney (Gadigal lands), Australia. Having divided her life between Australia and the USA, she graduated from the University of NSW Art & Design in Sydney specialising in Ceramics and Sculpture.
Captivated by the unusual tension between unlikely objects, Lex refers to her pieces as amalgamations, pushing materials to their boundaries through experimentation. This is evident in her major exhibitions such as The Next Step Collective Group Show at Flow Studios in 2023, The Crater (Finalist in the Gosford Ceramic Prize, 2018) and The Other Side (Eden Unearthed exhibition 2017- ‘18). Her exploration of specific ceramic conditions dives into the importance of environmental relationships and the physical products used daily in contemporary society.
